Hi Marci, I live in Greenfield and have an odd schedule but wanted to tell you about the Pennsy trail in Greenfield. It's a 2.6 mile rail-to-trail located just a block or so south of US 40. There are several parking areas. One is located by the abandodned antique mall another is at Apple street and the trail (approx 1/2 way point) and the last is on 100 south at the easternmost point of the trail. It's very nice with water at 2 points on the trail a public bathroom is located on the south entrance of the Greenfield police dept and there are 3 panic button phones that connect directly to the police. It gets enough use that one is never totally alone but one doesn't have the mob of people like on the Monon.
