SUMMARY:2nd Annual Racing Back to School 5k
DESCRIPTION:     Welcome back for round 2!  This will be a family fun run/walk to benefit local teachers\, students\, and schools for the upcoming school year. All proceeds will go to the Kokomo Education Foundation.  We would love to see as many kids\, teachers\, coaches and parents come out to Jackson Morrow on July 25th\, 2026 at 8 am to support our hardworking community as they race into the 2026-2027 school year.  We will also have a table setup for school supply drop off if anyone would like to donate any school supplies.  We encourage everyone to wear their school colors or favorite school of their choice.  All finishers will receive a finisher medal.  You will also have the option to purchase a shirt at an additional cost as long as it is done by the specified date.  There may be extras on race day\, but it will be first come first serve and while supplies last.

DESCRIPTION:The Tree Trail Trot Race is a beautiful trail run experience on the gently rolling\, wooded trails of Salamonie Lake\, one of Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources State Parks. This 5k race begins and ends at the Wildlife Management Pond located near the modern Campgroup at the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area. New for this year\, it will be a chip timed event! \nThis race is made possible through the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services\, Inc. A Pancake Breakfast will be served free for participants and a suggested free will donation to the public. Freshly picked sweet corn will be available for purchase during the event. All proceeds of this event go into the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive services to support events\, education\, and the Interpretive Center.

DESCRIPTION:**_Please read all the rules so you understand the event._** \nRace starts at 8:00 am ends at 6:00 pm \nChupacabra\, in Latin American popular legend\, a monstrous creature that attacks animals and consumes their blood. The name is derived from the Spanish words chupar (“to suck”) and cabra (“goat”) and can be translated as “goat-sucker.” As a fearsome but probably nonexistent creature\, the chupacabra has been characterized as the southern equivalent of the Sasquatch. \nThis endurance event just might “chupar” the life of you. Please join us if you dare! \n** _Runners receive a limited-edition t-shirt and a Chupacabra wooden medal._** \n** _Rules:_** \nWe will start the clock every hour\, you have one hour to finish that loop. _**The trail loop is 4-4.1 miles with just a small pavement section**_. If you don’t finish the loop in one hour you are OUSTED from the race! \nSave your strength as we determine winners by who runs the final loop the fastest. \n**_NO PACERS_** \nNo human or animal pacers allowed. Violating this rule results in a DQ. \n** _Start/finish area_** \nThere is room for you to set up your own crew station at the shelter. Gatorade\, water and snacks will be provided. \n**_PRIZES_** \n** __** \nYou receive chips ** _ONLY_** after you completed 4 loops. DESCRIPTION:Our 9th year for our Charity XC race – with over $24\,000 donated to a bunch of great charities over the years!  Back at Brebeuf HS again this year continuing our nice rotation with North Central.  We have 5 “Anchor Charity” teams that anyone can join.  Or create your own Charity Team and support a cause of your choosing.  Recruit as many members as you can\, as half of your entry fee goes to that charity directly\, then the other half goes into the “pot” for racing and distribution to teams based on cross country scoring.  We’ll also use our Age Graded Percent again to level the playing field across age and gender.  Always a fun time!
