SUMMARY:Armed Forces Endurance Run 6-12-24 Hours
DESCRIPTION:This is a 6 hour\, 12 hour or 24 hour fixed time event. Runners and walkers choose the time limit they want to participate for. The course is a 3 mile loop of asphalt and traditional trail that surrounds Bixler Lake in Kendallville\, IN. Participants will be able to set up pop up tents for the day of the event near the very well stocked aid station. Camping (fee based and free on first come first serve basis) is available. Discounts at local hotel also available.   Profits from the race are donated to the veterans’ group FW22\, a Northeast IN nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans who experience PTSD\, suicide\, addiction and other mental health issues.

SUMMARY:The GIANT 5K Memorial Day Moto Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come join the cadets from Ben Davis High School Marine Corps JROTC in a non-timed 5k moto-run/walk. Before we start\, we will have service to honor our fallen service members at 0800. Registration table will be open at 0700 to pick up your t-shirt and challenge coin. You can also purchase items separately as well\, however\, supplies will be limited. Run is scheduled to start shortly after the ceremony around 0830. \nA little about our fundraiser\, Ben Davis MCJROTC has 3 very competitive team with the program\, Drill\, Rifle and Raider Teams. Each year\, these cadets have earned their way to compete at a National level\, and this year they have done just that! However\, lack of funding has always been the show stopper\, but we hope to make it to Nationals this year with your help! \nSo what is a moto-run? It is a military style formation run with cadets who will take turns calling motivational cadences from start to finish! You have the option to run with the formation\, at your own leisure or jump in the formation and break off whenever you like. Time isn’t the focus here\, it is all about comradery and cohesion\, but you can be rest assured that you will still burn those calories while having fun! The course is a very friendly and safe route around the school campus on hard surface\, but there is grass terrain along the route as well if you prefer. Don’t worry about getting lost or tired\, there will be cadets spread out along the route to help motivate and guide you at each water station. We will also have medics onsite along with our local recruiters from all branches of services available to provide information about military service. \nAll paid participants who ordered a t-shirt and a challenge coin will receive it at check in. SO LETS COME TOGETHER\, THIS WILL BE A RUN TO REMEMBER!

Oh\, and did we mention the hills? With about 7\,500 feet of climbing—yes\, over 7k of climbing!—in addition to southern Indiana’s typical summertime heat and humidity\, this race is tougher than you’d think. Comprised of 85% single track\, 11% forest service road\, and 4% paved road (but with a generous cutoff time of 20 hours)\, we assure you that you won’t be disappointed. \nFor those less adventurous trail nuts we offer up our “fun run”. If you aren’t quite up for the full 100km we have a 20 mile loop for you to “enjoy”. This run will start Saturday June 7 at 8:30am. You will have a SUPER generous 6 hours and 30 minutes to complete one loop. This is the same loop as the 100k folks with the same unbelievable support at each aid station. \nWe invite you to experience true Hoosier hospitality with our fun and friendly trail running community.\nCome help make this a trail party…WooHoo!

DESCRIPTION:Four beers. One mile.\nThe Chicago Beer Mile will take place on Friday June 5th.\nDrink\, Run\, Drink\, Repeat! This is a one-mile fun run for runners who enjoy beers. Drink a beer\, run/walk/jog (or skip\, crawl\, whatever you want) your way a quarter mile around the track\, and repeat three more times.\nThere will be opportunities for those who do not wish to consume beer. We will have a Non Alcoholic Beer Mile.\nRaces will begin at 6:00 pm. A final schedule of events will be posted on June 4th. Each race will have 4-14 entries. The event will conclude with two sections of elite Beer Milers. There will be prize money for the top three men and women. $500 for 1st place\, $250 for second place\, and $100 for third place.
