Indy Runners and Walkers provides group club runs and walks for your year-round enjoyment. There is a pace for the beginner, the flyer, and everyone in between.
Have you ever thought about trying out one of our club runs or walks? There’s nothing to it. Simply show up, and we’ll do our best to make you feel welcome and explain how the run or walk works.
Details about individual runs and walks including directions can be found below.
Important: Our parent organization, the Road Runners Club of America, requires us to collect signed waivers before anyone participates in a club activity. If you’re already a club member, you signed a waiver upon joining our club. If you’re not yet a club member, please sign-up for our 30 day free trial membership, which includes electronically signing a waiver. Thanks for your understanding! We can’t wait to see you out there!

All ages are welcome and runners follow various routes as there are many courses available. Water is available when the fountains are running and water is also provided with cups by the gatehouse. Dogs welcome too! Here is a map showing various running routes. Note: The distances are not accurate as they assume an old starting location.
Courses are available from 2 to 13.1 miles. Six miles of the course is inside Fort Harrison State Park. You must have a pass to enter the park. The daily pedestrian entry fee is $2 per person. An annual entrance permit which is good at all Indiana state parks is available for $50. These annual passes run from January 1st to December 31st. - A group doing speedwork will warm-up by running to an appropriate speedwork location (e.g., running track, Central Canal Towpath for tempo runs, Crown Hill Cemetery or Holcomb Gardens for hill repeats, …)
On any given day, there will be different paces and distances, so there is a distance and pace for everyone. Afterwards, we typically hang around and socialize. repeats, …)

Distance:
The suggested route of 3-10+ miles may vary from week to week to keep it interesting: north or south on the Monon Trail, the Williams Creek loop, part of the Monumental Marathon course, etc. Longer runs are available during the spring and fall training programs. However, you may run as long or as short as you want. We tend to run either an out and back route or a loop, so custom distances (including shorter distances) are definitely possible.
Don’t worry. There are a wide variety of paces available.
