Indy Runners and Walkers is now accepting submittals for the 2024 Erika Wells Memorial Scholarship Program. Thanks to generous donations from our members, Indy Runners and Walkers will award three $1000 scholarships to local high school graduates who have been positively impacted by the sport of running.
Erika Wells was a beloved member who tragically passed away in October 2016. Her dedication to service, personal growth, social engagement, and an overall use of running as part of a healthy lifestyle and a way to help support community were unparalleled. Eligible candidates should exemplify these characteristics as well.
To be eligible, Class of 2024 graduates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Current resident of Marion County
- Enrollment in a college or university for Fall of 2024
- Involvement in the community, volunteerism or other service activities
Indy Runners and Walkers must receive all submissions and references by March 31, 2024 using the link below. Results will be announced by April 14, 2024, and scholarship awards will be presented shortly thereafter.
