51st Sam Costa Half Marathon and 15th Sam Costa Quarter Marathon

March 12, 2020 Update: Due to the current public safety concerns with coronavirus (COVID-19), the Sam Costa Half and Quarter Marathons will not take place as planned on March 21, 2020. The Indy Runners Board of Directors and Sam Costa race committee are currently evaluating options and will update registered participants as quickly as possible. The oldest race in Indiana returns for its 51st running. The “Costa” is brought to you by Indy Runners and Walkers, Indiana’s largest running and walking club. All net proceeds from the race benefit the Indianapolis running and walking community by providing high school scholarships, the healthy promotion of walking and running as a lifestyle activity and competitive sport, seasonal training programs, community runs, and so much more.

The course incorporates winding rural roads going outbound and quiet suburban neighborhoods inbound. The Sam Costa Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon utilize the wonderful facilities of Northview Church, including free on-site parking and a large indoor space in which to keep warm before the race.
