52nd Sam Costa Half Marathon and 16th Sam Costa Quarter Marathon

The oldest race in Indiana returns for its 52nd running. The “Costa” is brought to you by Indy Runners and Walkers, Indiana’s largest running and walking club. All net proceeds from the race benefit the Indianapolis running and walking community by providing high school scholarships, the healthy promotion of walking and running as a lifestyle activity and competitive sport, seasonal training programs, community runs, and so much more.

We made major improvements to the race courses in 2022! The courses were updated for multiple reasons:

• Improved safety
• Incorporate paved trails along the White River
• Incorporate a few miles of the Sam Costa course from the 1980’s, 1990’s, and early 2000’s

The Sam Costa Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon utilize the wonderful facilities of Northview Church, including free on-site parking and a large indoor space in which to keep warm before the race.
