Please join me in the 2nd annual 5K for Kathryn race. 5K for Kathryn benefits Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation. Kathryn, my 6 year old cousin, was diagnosed with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) at the age of 11 months. AHC is a very rare neurological disorder and proceeds from this race will go directly to AHCF for research for treatment and a cure.
Whether you are a novice or avid runner, this is the race for you! The 5K features a paved trail that is perfect for running and walking. For those of you familiar with the area, the course is the Harrison Trace Trail within Fort Harrison State Park. For those of you familiar with the area, the course options are the Harrison Trace Trail (paved) and the Fall Creek Trail (wooded trail) within Fort Harrison State Park.
