The Davis family lives in our community and Jameson dad John was a fellow firefighter. On May 28th, 2016 Jameson’s life was changed forever. Jameson was rushed to the ER with suspected kidney failure. He was transferred to Peyton Manning’s Children’s hospital where the doctors discovered that Jameson’s kidneys were completely calcified, they were non existent at that point. They later found out that Jameson has a VERY rare genetic disease called Hyperoxaluria. Jameson’s liver does not produce a certain chemical, therefore his organs calcified. Because of this, Jameson had a liver transplant in January and is waiting a kidney transplant. Jameson is only 19 months old! He is out of the hospital and doing outpatient dialysis 4 days a week. They still have a LONG road to go.
