Blanton Woods 5k/1-Mile Fun Run

The Danville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 11th Annual Blanton Woods 5k and 1-Mile Kid’s Fun Run. It will be held on July 4th. 1-Mile Kid’s Fun Run will start at 8:30am and the 5k will start at 9:00am. Run located at the Danville Athletic Club (49 N. Wayne St. Danville IN.) The 5k run goes through the wooded paths of Blanton Woods – asphalt, grass, dirt and sand. It is a beautiful course fit for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. The 1-Mile Kid’s Fun Run will start at the Athletic Club and head down to the park and back. Parents may run/walk with their children. The 5k run will cost $20.00 for pre-registered runners and a free event for the 1 Mile Kid’s Fun Run. All pre-registered runners will receive a free T-Shirt. Day of sign-up for the 5k will cost $30.00. Awards will be given out to the overall winners and division winners of the 5k. If you love to run this is the event for you!
