Looking for a perfect first-time trail run? Look no further than this one in northern Indiana. The trails on this race are generally wide, solid, and moderately sloped. There are two hills large enough to have names, though – about halfway around the loop you’ll encounter Vargo Hill and Steamboat Hill.
It’s also an uncommon distance – so competitive runners can set a 7k PR! (about 4.2 miles).
This race is rain-or-shine as most of the route won’t get too messy if wet, due to a gravelly base on the trail.
