No Child Wet Behind 5k & Diaper Drive

No Child Wet Behind is a national 501c3 non-profit organization that organizes diaper drives and fundraisers around the country to benefit families experiencing diaper need. Hoosier Family Doulas has teamed up with the Domestic Violence Network in Indianapolis to host a No Child Wet Behind Diaper Drive and 5K Run/Walk at Brookside Park on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

The Diaper Drive and 5K event will benefit local shelters that house women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. Many of these families arrive at the shelter with just the clothes on their backs, and diapers for infant and toddler-aged children are a high-priority need for the shelters to keep in supply.

Beginning the first week of April 2017, collection sites will be set up around Indianapolis where you can drop off packages of unopened diapers. Too busy to shop for diapers and drop them off at a collection site? No big deal! You can use our handy-dandy Amazon Wish List to purchase packages of diapers and have them shipped directly to us, and we will get them to the shelters that need them the most.

Our Diaper Drive will culminate on Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at the No Child Wet Behind 5K Run/Walk. All of our collected diapers will be on display, and attendees can enjoy an outstanding family-friendly event including vendors, food, a bounce house for kids, and so much more!

Our goal is to raise 5,000 diapers for Indianapolis babies, and we can’t do it without YOU! We are now accepting sponsors and vendors for the 2017 Indianapolis No Child Wet Behind 5K event, and we would love to help you contribute to a worthy cause and promote your company at our exciting event.
