Outpacing the Stigma 5k

Join us for the 5th Annual Outpacing the Stigma 5K on Saturday, October 18, 2025, as we run and walk to remember lives lost to drug overdose and raise awareness for those still fighting. Drug overdose remains the leading cause of death in America. In 2024, the CDC estimated that 220 lives were lost every day to overdose.

This year’s race supports Heart Rock Justus Family Recovery Center, one of the few sober living communities where moms in recovery can live and heal with their children. Since its inception in November 2022, Heart Rock Recovery Center has served more than 89 women and 45 children. It is designed for pregnant women and mothers ages 18+ who are in recovery from substance use or dual diagnosis. We offer toddler-friendly subsidized housing and holistic substance use therapy in Marion County, Indiana to help keep women and children together throughout recovery.
