Special Run The Monon Event!

010 , Indy Runners plans to run the length of the Monon from 161st Street in Westfield, IN to the Waterfront Pavilion between the zoo and the White River in White River State Park (20 miles!) . A picnic social will follow the run. A half marathon training distance (11 miles) will also be available. This is a great opportunity to get in a special long run as part of your marathon or half marathon training! Registration must be received by September 18, 2010 . 2010 Indianapolis Marathon Finish Line Volunteers

For many years, Indy Runners has provided volunteers to work at the start/finish line for the Indianapolis Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K in Lawrence, IN. This year's race is on Saturday, October 16, 2010. We will be working the first shift start/finish line from 7:30am to 11:30am and need at least 15 volunteers of high school age or older. This is a great way to give back to the local running community! Prior volunteers will tell you that it can be a lot of fun. Click here for more information. 5th Annual Indy Runners Fall Race Training Program!

The 5th Annual Indy Runners Fall Race Training Program returns for 2010. The program helps prepare you for any fall marathon or half marathon. It takes place on Saturday mornings at 7:30am on the Monon Trail in Broad Ripple. The program is FREE to club members!!! Please email Bethany with any questions or to be added to this program's email list. Note: Please do not park in the McDonald's parking lot so that their customers have access to parking spaces.

Special Notice about the Wednesday Evening Club Run at the YMCA on Sept. 1, 2010

Indy Runners recently started club runs and walks on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm at the YMCA at the Athenaeum. The building was temporarily closed due to a construction accident but will be reopened as of the next run on September 8, 2010.
In addition to this club run and walk, Indy Runners continues to hold club runs year-round at other locations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and a club walk on select Saturdays. Click here for further information about our club runs and walks.
Indy Runners Now has 900+ Members!

As of August 11, 2010, Indy Runners has reached 900 paid members! Discounted 2010 Individual and Family Indy Runners Memberships good for July 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 remain available for only $20 $15 per individual or $25 $20 per family! That's a $5 discount off the regular 2010 club membership.

Indy Runners is proud to introduce "Up Tempo Thursdays". Participants in our 6:00pm Thursday club runs from Hinkle Fieldhouse now have the option of taking part in runs geared towards making you faster. These could include Tempo Runs, Fartlek, Interval Training, etc. Click here for more information.
