2017 Fall Marathon / Half Marathon Training Program

The 12th annual Indy Runners and Walkers Fall Race Training Program for full and half marathons returns! This program is FREE to club members. (Not a member yet? Join us!) The program begins Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 7:30am and continues each Saturday on the wooden deck at the corner of Westfield Blvd and Winthrop Ave. in Broad Ripple. This informal program will suggest distances preparing participants for October/November races, in particular the Indianapolis Half Marathon and Monumental MarathonWe averaged 70-100 participants per week last year! Get the details.

Popular Speed Session Program Returns!

Personal Best TrainingThe last fouryears, Indy Runners has offered the opportunity to be involved with weekly quality running sessions arranged by long-time local Coach Matt Ebersole of Personal Best Training. We are again offering access to these sessions in 2017. This 17 week program will be on Tuesdays starting July 11, 2017Get the details!

Come Enjoy Our Club Runs and Walks

Club RunIndy Runners offers several club runs and walks each week. These runs occur year-round, including right now! We have a Sunday run at Ft. Harrison, Tuesday run at Hinkle Fieldhouse, Wednesday run and walk at the downtown Atheneaum YMCA, Thursday run in Broad Ripple, and a Saturday run and walk in Broad Ripple. If you haven't made it out to a weekly club run or walk in a while (or ever), we invite you to come out and join us!

Spring Shoe Drive & Volunteer Opportunity for Changing Footprints

It's time for spring cleaning! Indy Runners will be collecting shoes for Changing Footprints, a 501c3 organization that donates shoes to 60 local agencies and 17 countries. Donations are tax deductible and ALL shoes (including heels, boots, flip flops, slippers, cleats, etc.) in ANY condition will be accepted. Unwearable shoes will be used to make playgrounds and artificial fields - no shoe gets wasted! Look for the bin at one of our weekly group runs. Don't forget to tie laced shoes together!
Following the drive, we will have a volunteer day at Changing Footprints to sort and box shoes for distribution - stay tuned for date and time! Contact givingback@indyrunners.org with questions. Happy donating!

Drinking Fountain Coming to the Central Canal Towpath!

Drinking Fountain Indy Runners and Walkers is raising funds to install a drinking fountain along the Central Canal Towpath at 52nd Street near Butler University. Check it out!
